Ann Elizabeth Waters

Ann Elizabeth (Davis) Waters was born in Norristown December 19, 1947. She was born to the late Robert M. and L. Jacqueline (Martin) Davis. She was the beloved wife of retired Gunnery Master Sgt. George “Skip” B. Waters III whom she shared 54 years of marriage with. A devoted mother to Wendy (Waters) McEleney, loving grandmother to J. Matthew (Nicole) Waters and Andrew McEleney and adoring great - grandmother to Audrianna Bickings, Delaney and Jax Waters. Ann was a graduate of Plymouth - Whitemarsh High School, class of 1965. She was employed by the former Continental Bank in Norristown and was a driver for the former Romano Bus Company in Plymouth Meeting for many years. She then worked for the former Simpson Paper Company in Miquon before retiring in 2017 from Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company in Wayne, as a Customer Service Specialist. Ann was a dedicated military spouse, marching band mom, and matriarch of her large extended family both blood and “adopted”. She was an amazing woman who also served the Whitemarsh Township community through the Spring Mill Fire Company Auxiliary. She held many positions from Trustee up to and including President of the organization for 56 years. In addition to her auxiliary positions, she always made sure the firefighters were taken care of by providing them food, hot coffee, and water to keep them warm and hydrated as they fought fires or performed rescues. Ann was currently secretary and was serving on Boards of Directors with the fire company. Ann was a member for 35 years with the Fire Company. She enjoyed chairing the Annual Children’s Christmas Parties, Bingo events, Klondike Club and other fundraisers for the Spring Mill Fire Company and Auxiliary. Most recently, she enjoyed her retirement home in Wellsboro with Skip, gardening and hosting family and friends every chance she could. In addition to her husband, daughter and grandchildren, Ann is survived by a sister Ruthann (Daniel) Calcagni, five brothers John (Angel) Davis, Paul (Theresa) Davis, Ronald (Kim) Davis, Peter (Holly) Davis and Gary (Michelle) Davis and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by: brothers, Robert M Davis Sr., George Davis; sisters, Lorraine Davis, L. Jacqueline Masters, Linda Davis, Gwendolyn Hallman, and Donna Houck; nephews Todd R. Near, and Jase N. LaPenta; a niece, Dayna Houck. Relatives and friends are invited to pay respects on Wednesday evening, February 2nd from 5:30-7:30PM, or on Thursday morning, February 3rd, from 9-10:15AM at the William A. Moore Funeral Home, 708 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA. A Service of Christian Burial will commence in the funeral home at 10:30AM. Internment, George Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Spring Mill Fire Company, 1210 E. Hector Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428.
