Maria Anne (Vishio) D'Angelo

Maria Anne (Vishio) D’Angelo, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away at the age of 82 on December 8, 2025, on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Born on February 7, 1943, in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, Maria was the beloved daughter of the late Dora (Tancini) and Francis Vishio and the devoted sister of her cherished late brother, Joseph Vishio. Maria fondly remembered walking home from school beside her father. Her mother, Dora, became a steadfast source of support and guiding presence throughout her life. Maria attended both St. Matthew’s Elementary School and High School, where she shared her beautiful voice and love of music in numerous musicals and choral performances, bringing joy to all who heard her sing. Her deep roots in the Conshohocken community and her Catholic faith remained central to her life. For over two decades, Maria was a dedicated and deeply treasured elementary and preschool teacher. She delighted in using songs, crafts, and story time to make learning joyful and meaningful. Her students adored her and the love and creativity she shared with them every day. Maria’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted and ever-present mother to Michael (Kathryn) D’Angelo, John (Renée) D’Angelo, and Christina (Jarrett) Renshaw. She was a proud Nonna/Granny to her 8 grandchildren: Anna, Grace, Mark, Averie, Gabriel, Jill, Clare, and Harper. Maria was a loving Aunt Mim and Auntie to her nieces and nephews. Maria also adored her faithful animal companions throughout the years: Tyke, Dylan, Delina, and Wentz. The family and friends of Maria will truly miss her and cherish her memory forever. May she rest in peace, Amen. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate Maria’s life on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church in Philadelphia, PA. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am to 10:45 am, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at St. Matthew’s Cemetery in Conshohocken, PA. Maria loved sharing all the good things in life and, most of all, bringing joy to children through the arts. In lieu of flowers, the D’Angelo family requests donations be made to RWJBH/Trinitas Children’s Services to provide music and art therapy for our most vulnerable patients.
