Muriel C. Corrigan

Muriel Clark Corrigan, aged 75, died peacefully on March 20 from cancer. She was at home with her husband Gerald (Gerry) and children by her side, in her Traditions at Skippack (TAS) residence. Muriel was born November 3, 1941 in Conshohocken, PA, the daughter of the late J. Donald and Muriel (Harper) Clark. In 1963, Muriel married the love of her life Gerald Corrigan Jr., and embarked on a life as a proud Marine Corps wife. Together, they raised three children in happy homes in Plainville, MA and Audubon, PA. In addition to providing loving care to her home and family, Muriel worked in the office at Audubon Dental, helped coach ARA softball teams, and volunteered at her children's schools and at St. Teresa of Avila Parish in Valley Forge, PA. Muriel had a lifelong love of the New Jersey shore, the Philadelphia Eagles, and holidays with her family. Retiring to their home in TAS provided many happy times with wonderful friends. She enjoyed holiday celebrations and parades, card making classes, theater outings, luncheons, and ice cream socials with her friends and neighbors. Muriel especially loved applying her creativity to theme parties and organizing the twirling squad for the July 4th Parade. She loved her friends and all of the people in her life - her parents and siblings, her husband and children, and most of all her seven grandchildren, to whom she was their beloved Me-Mom. Muriel is survived by brothers J. Donald Clark Jr. and Michael J. Clark, and sister Patricia (Clark) Carbo. In addition to her husband Gerry, with whom she would have celebrated 54 years of marriage this year, she is survived by a daughter Jennifer Hollister (Bob) of Lancaster; 2 sons, Jerry Corrigan (Jessica) of Malvern, Michael Corrigan (Kristin) of Jenkintown; 7 grandchildren, (Carolyn, Beatrice) (Katherine, Michael Patrick, Megan) (Annie, Michael Jr.); many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Muriel was preceded in death by her sister Nancy (Clark) Schools, and daughter-in-law Debbie (MacFarland) Corrigan, wife of Michael. Relatives and friends may pay respects on Friday morning, March 24th, from 10-11:25am at St. Eleanor RC Church, 647 Locust St, Collegeville, PA 19426. A funeral mass will commence in the church at 11:30am officiated by Reverend Monsignor Joseph Logrip. Interment is private in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions in Muriel's memory to The Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund in honor of her great-nephew Timothy: JDRF, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004, (800) 533-CURE. Professional arrangements are by the William A. Moore Funeral Home, 708 Fayette St., Conshohocken.
