Robert James Wilson

Robert James Wilson, “Bob Wilson”, age 86, of King of Prussia, PA and Sea Isle City, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 16, 2022. Bob was born on January 26, 1936, son of the late Peter and Mary (Fitzpatrick) Wilson. Bob was the beloved husband of Marianne (Niederreiter) Wilson for 58 wonderful years. Bob was a caring son, a loyal brother, a loving husband and father, a treasured grandfather, and a friend to all. Bob was a lifelong Philadelphian, an avid Eagles and Phillies fan, born and raised in Center City then moved to King of Prussia. He started his own service station at an early age, and with the help of his son Bob, grew it into a thriving family business. His great work ethic shined through in the business, and in his homes in King of Prussia and Sea Isle City. The shore house was his pride and joy, and his legacy will live on there. Bob was a garage sale aficionado, with an eye for uncovering treasures and perfecting the art of finding the absolute lowest price. However, when it came to his family and friends, there were no limits to the love that Bob gave. He provided a helping hand to whoever was in need. Bob was a good, kind, resilient, strong, and proud Irishman. We are eternally grateful to him for being a part of our lives and we will miss him every day. He was the devoted father of Robert T. Wilson and his wife, Kara of King of Prussia, PA; Jennifer S. Callahan and her husband, Jack of Needham, MA; and his two loving children in heaven, Michael P., and Marianne Wilson. He was the adoring Pop-Pop to six wonderful grandchildren: Tyler, Scott, Craig, and Claire Wilson, and Lilly and Caroline Callahan, and they were the pride and joy of his life. He was the loving brother of Peter, James, the late Michael, and the late Elizabeth “Betsy” Dardine. He was loved and cherished by several nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Relatives and friends are invited to pay respects on Friday evening, July 22nd from 5:30-7:30PM at the William A. Moore Funeral Home, 708 Fayette St., Conshohocken or on Saturday morning, July 23rd from 9-10:15AM at Mother of Divine Providence Church, Allendale Rd., King of Prussia. Mass of Christian Burial will commence in the church at 10:30AM. Internment is private. Bob was a proud member of the LaSalle College High School, Class of 1954, and continued to organize monthly luncheons to share stories and good laughs with old friends.
