Robert Joseph Betchyk Sr.

January 17, 1943 - May 14, 2022

Robert Joseph Betchyk Sr., age 79 of Conshohocken, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022. He was born on Sunday, January 17, 1943 son of the late Joseph and Mary (Grzymala) Betchyk. Robert was raised on North Lane in Conshohocken attending St. Matthew Grade School and graduating St. Matthew High School Class of 1960. He furthered his education at Temple University, where he earned his Bachelor Science Degree in Economics and later earned his MBA. Bob served his country honorably as a Sergeant in the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany from 1966 to 1968 and maintained reserve requirements to 1972. He was employed as a pharmaceutical sales forecaster for William H. Rorer, and Aventis Pharmaceuticals. He enjoyed coin collecting, model railroading and following the financial markets. Above all, he loved all things to do with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by: a son, Robert J. Betchyk Jr. (Kelly); 2 daughters, Renee Taylor (Rick) and Kathleen Tomczyk (Bill); 9 grandchildren, (Emily, Marisa, Matthew, Hannah, Sara, Joseph) (Zachary) (Katelyn, Will); a nephew, Jamie DeGrazio. He was predeceased by his sister, Marlene DeGrazio. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at St. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, 314 West Church Rd., King of Prussia, on Saturday afternoon, May 21st at 1PM. Committal prayers will be officiated by Rev. Pastor Dr. Ronald Popivchak. .
