Marianne Wilson

Marianne Wilson, 82, of King of Prussia, PA passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Robert J. Wilson for 58 beautiful years. She was the devoted mother of Robert T. Wilson and his wife, Kara of King of Prussia, PA; Jennifer S. Callahan and her husband, Jack of Needham, MA; and her two loving children in heaven, Michael P. and Marianne Wilson. She was the adoring mom-mom to six wonderful grandchildren: Tyler, Scott, Craig, and Claire Wilson, and Lilly and Caroline Callahan, and they were the brightest lights of her life. She was the loving sister of Emilie Roelz and Luise Altmann and her husband, Wolfgang, and cherished sister-in-law to Peter and Midge Wilson, Jim and June Wilson, and the late Michael Wilson and Betsy Dardine. She was loved dearly by several nieces and nephews. Marianne was born in Stockdorf, Germany in 1937 to parents Emilie (Greil) and Alois Niederreiter. She grew up during World War II and had a modest childhood. She immigrated to the United States in 1957 and met the love of her life at a corner service station. She settled in King of Prussia and raised her four children in the home where she lived out her final days. She held the title of bookkeeper for her husband's business of 44 years. She was a lifelong parishioner of Mother of Divine Providence Church, where she served as a volunteer for countless school and parish fundraising events. Perhaps her greatest achievement was as a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and loyal friend. Her deep faith carried her through the loss of her two children and helped her appreciate her many blessings. She enjoyed daily five-mile walks in Valley Forge Park, her competitive matches on the tennis court, reading books, and spending summers with her family in Sea Isle City, NJ, walking the beaches and collecting sea glass with her grandchildren. All who knew her will miss her excellent cooking, baking, and thoughtful care packages. She was a selfless and strong woman that graced this world with love, positivity, and an indomitable spirit. Relatives and friends are invited to pay respects on Saturday, March 14th, from 12-1:30PM at Mother of Divine Providence Church (King of Prussia). Mass will commence in the church at 1:30PM. Internment is private. Professional arrangements are by the William A. Moore Funeral Home, 708 Fayette St., Conshohocken. She courageously battled Parkinson's disease and the family asks that in lieu of flowers and to help find a cure, please consider a donation in Marianne's name to Parkinson’s Research at Penn Medicine.
